Welcome to Summer Suppers
Many impoverished parents and guardians do not have the means to provide sufficient nutrition for their children when school is out for the summer. The children have no access to school breakfast or school lunch.
"In Connecticut, 1 child in 8 doesn’t have enough to eat."
The Summer Suppers program helps to bridge that gap in July and August for up to 100 children each evening. By serving a nutritious, delicious—and teen-friendly—meal in a safe, attractive and supportive setting, long summer evenings without adequate nourishment will no longer be a problem for youngsters served by the program.
