About Connecticut Food Bank
Connecticut Food Bank, founded in 1982, works to alleviate hunger by supplying food and resources to 650 food-assistance programs in six of Connecticut’s eight counties: Fairfield, Litchfield, Middlesex, New Haven, New London and Windham. Connecticut Food Bank distributes food to programs, such as soup kitchens, shelters, food pantries, and adult and child day care centers. Last year, Connecticut Food Bank distributed more than 16 million pounds of food to people in need, about 31 tons of food every business day.
