How You Can Help
Local Chefs
Local chefs or caterers prepare the nutritious, child-friendly meals meeting requirements set by the Connecticut Department of Education. Chefs select one evening or more. About 130 meals are needed for each day. You provide the creativity, we’ll provide the ingredients. Contact Connecticut Food Bank for details.
Community leaders
Adults who care and are interested in helping youth are invited to participate in a Summer Suppers meal. Adults with compassion, wisdom and a desire to listen can help give a youngster a voice and a sense of belonging. Community leaders will be asked to donate $5 for each supper they join to help cover the cost of their meal.
Community
No child should go hungry. Your donation supporting our Child Nutrition programs will help us grow Summer Suppers and our other initiatives to alleviate childhood hunger.
